Jeroen van de Ven
photographer
self-taught, with a little help of the best

The world around the corner is like a candyshop to the patient eye. Driven by curiousity and amazement I explore the city and her wide surroundings. Not hastily, but with attention and in walking pace. The sceneries I encounter are, deliberately or not, the result of human actions in the urban landscape. Sometimes arose over decades. Others are just a frozen moment in time.
The lines, forms, structures, compositions, objects, colors and patterns are likely familiar. You can see them on your daily trips in your own surroundings, but only when you look closely? My continuous photowork is about capturing this well-known (urban) landscape.
